In this project we collaborated with Miller Hare to create 3 selling images for the development of King's Cross, London. We were provided the basic building models from Miller Hare as well as site maps. We then got to tweak the models, assign materials, lighting, camera views and the overall concept. We had approximately 3 weeks to complete this project.
The brief was to create two broad descriptive views of the location as well as a detailed "vignette" image. The views should offer a comprehensive perspective of the location/building, capturing its essence and integration within its surroundings.
Due to the vast area of the location we were divided into smaller groups, each group focusing on a specific part of the site - residential, commercial and Granary Square. I was assigned the Granary Square, with both historical and new buildings acting as a backdrop of the main square. The square itself has a bubbling atmosphere with both events and art displays taking place, also featuring designed fountain installation consiting of over 1000 individual fountains.
Software used: 3DsMax, Corona, RailClone, Forest Pack & Photoshop.
